Since you're pretty tight with Allah, could you please ask him to stop all of the people in the Middle East to stop blowing each other up. I would really appreciate that.

As-Salaamu 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuh,

Was-Salaamu 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuh.

Well, I was hoping that perhaps all of us could get along and live together in peace, but Muslims keep strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up stuff in the Middle East. This is what you aspire to?

Peace be upon those who follow the guidance.

Rabbi Isaac Goldstein,

First and foremost I would like to call you to the truth. I would like to call you to accept the one and only true religion, the religion of all the past prophets. I would like to call you to submit yourself to God the almighty. I would like to call you to Islam. The religion that YOU as a Rabbi who has studied the Torah KNOWS is the truth, and if you do not know this then you are not worthy of your title of "Rabbi".

If you accept this invitation you shall become our brother in faith. Your life and property shall become forbidden on us, and we shall live in peace. If you refuse to accept it while you know it is the truth then know that you have no rights upon us, other than to convey to you the message.

God all mighty says in the Quran

"18. Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice. La ilah illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 19. Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account. 20. So if they dispute with you (Muhammad SAW) say: "I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His ) slaves.[2:18-20]

And he says

"64. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims." [2:64]

Secondly you mentioned that I am "close" with Allah swt, or to put it in your words "tight with Allah". Kala Wallah (Nay By God) this is anything but true. My sins and shortcomings are many. It is only my knowing that God is oft forgiving that gives me hope.

As for the mideast issue I would like to ask you a few questions. Why is that when a young boy throws a rock at a tank it is terrorism and it is unjust, but when a bulldozer tears down his house its just "making space for a new settlement"? Why is it that when a missile blows up a village its just "rooting out the terrorists" even though its mostly the innocent that die, but when a man who has lost all his family in such an attack tries to retaliate he is a "terrorists suicide bomber"?

This is not the first time in history that such a thing has taken place, and I'm sure it will not be the last. The strong are always unjust to the week. Same thing took place here in America 400 years ago. They came and took the land from those who rightfully owned it. The difference between the Native Americans and those fighting for their rights in the mideast is these have a true reason and principle they are fighting for. They are not only fighting for their land but they are fighting for the sake of God, to remove oppression.

When I first read your comments I couldn’t help but laugh. My initial response was to remove them and forget about it. But then I couldn’t help but feel sad, firstly that there were people with such ignorant ideas, and secondly that if you are truly a Rabbi as you claim you have nothing better than to read a young muslimah's blog. And that is why I decided to respond to you.

Once again I call you to the truth, and away from your false beliefs, if you accept you are my brother in faith and if not then I claim my baraa'a from you.

And may peace be upon those who follow the guidance.

~ Chotu.

Maryam,

First I would like to sincerely thank you for your candor.

I am not at all suggesting that there is not blood on American or Israeli hands as well. It is a political and complicated world that we all live in.

However, when terrorists crash airplanes into American buildings, that is when we all need to take action for peace. A few years ago there was a deal on the table for peace and recognition of both Israel and Palestine, and Yassir Arafat walked away from it. Now that there is a new ruler, perhaps we will successfully achieve peace this time, although I am more mistrustful of the American government now.

Again, I am not placing the blame for all of the world's problems on Islam. I just encourage you to work for peace within your own religion and community. American and Saudi governments work together because of oil, but I hope that one day the friendship of all of our people shall be genuine.
